It is apparent now that social media and word of mouth can lead to a collective hysteria in moments of crisis. So before deciding the weight of your actions, be sure to educate yourself and read beyond the headlines.
WHAT CAN WE DO IN THIS CURRENT STATE?
Firstly, we need to keep our distance. Help stop the spread of Coronavirus ( Covid-19) by keeping your distance. Remember, don’t shake hands or exchange physical greetings.

Secondly, appreciate the local values of good neighbouring, maintain physical and mental health by exercising, meditating and reading.
SO REMEMBER THESE COUPLE OF THINGS, CAUSE WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER :
✓ Take a Breath ( Stay properly informed and do not create unnecessary anxiety for yourself and others).
✓ Wash her hands (Properly, don’t half-ass it).
✓ Support small and local ( If you’re needing to buy something, think about the local small businesses and how in this time they are the ones that truly rely on the community around them to get them through each day of the unknown).
✓ Save some for others (there is plenty to go around, so.. remain calm and step away from the toilet paper)
✓ If you’re physically isolated it does not mean you need to be mentally ( start a Netflix party, facetime, skype)
✓ Be kind to one another
✓ Find comfort in the little things, especially if you’re in isolation
✓ Take this opportunity to get creative (support small businesses)
✓ If you’re becoming overwhelmed by the news, disconnect for a moment and distract yourselves with reading something new, learning a new craft, meditating
✓ Reach out to family and friends and let them know you’re there if they need someone.
✓ Laugh, find things that bring you joy and lots of laughter ( laughter is infectious)
✓ Focus on the positives and what you can do to help
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We will come out on the other side and one day in the not too distant future, this too will be a memory, in time, that we as a society got through TOGETHER!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I hope yourself and loved ones remain safe and healthy. If things get tough don’t shut down, reach out and let’s help one another.
